Pop up Thursday
TONITE, Jan 7: Pop-Up With Us!
We are excited about what looks to be a great crowd of artists and buyers lined up to attend the 3rd Pop-Up Gallery Night at Wet Paint Syndrome! We have had more calls and messages about this Pop-Up than the first two combined. Make sure to invite a friend to join us too!
Artists please show up at 6pm to hang your work. The show is open to the public from 6:30-9pm. Artists pay just $15 dollars to hang two pieces and no commission is taken. It is a great place to find very good, very affordable, local art! Did you know last month 60% of the artists reported sales within a week of the Pop-Up from contacts made at the event? Be there with your checkbook to support these local artists!
Worried about the weather? Based on the forecast, we think it will be warm enough to keep the roads clear for the entire event. So plan to stop in to grab a hot new piece of art on your way to get your bread and milk!
See you at Hillcrest!

Happy New Year....Sorry this is late...but here ya go.....
Date: Saturday, January 2, 2010
Time: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Location: Wet Paint Syndrome, LLC
Street: 1040 Fernwood-Glendale Rd, Suite 34
Spartanburg, SC 29307
Patrice and I were recounting tonight about the amazing opportunities that have blessed us in 2009. Among many other wonderful moments, my development as an artist has definitely hit a new high watermark. Not only did I earn my MFA from Goddard, present a large scale exhibition at Wofford, and paint at Ghost Ranch during a residency, but we came very close to breaking even on the new studio venture. Without you, our friends and family, this would never have been possible.
To celebrate the incredible support and encouragement we have received from friends and family in this past year, we would like to offer a very special one day sale at Wet Paint. From 9am-6pm on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010, I will open the studio at Hillcrest to the public.
ALL of my original paintings will be offered on a buy one, get one (of equal or lesser value) FREE (while supplies last) for one day only. This sale does not apply to posters or cards.
Many of you know this kind of markdown is very unusual in the world of fine art sales. It is not recommended or advised. It is not a smart move for many reasons. In fact, this will probably be one of the only times I can ever offer my work in this fashion.
However, as you know, my whole philosophical approach toward sharing my art is to make it affordable so it can be shared by many.
This sale is intended to be a true celebration of all of your support and a genuine thank you for your encouragement! I do not plan to advertise the sale widely because it is intended to thank those who have been so supportive of my art along the way. Please feel free to pass this on to others. Buy a piece for yourself, and give one to a friend who has supported you in 2009! Or invite a friend to chip in for the cost of the first piece so you can give them the second!
We only accept cash or check, so come prepared as you need to be.
Thank you for all your continuing support for my art. If you cannot make it Saturday, please know how much your support and encouragement means to both of us!
Happy New Year!
Kris Neely
