A recipe and The End of.....or is it?

Friend of Mine sent me this Old Family Recipe:

Subject: Sweet Potato Fritters

2 sweet potatoes - cooked and mashed (I usually cook in microwave)
2 T sweet butter
1 T maple syrup or brown sugar (your choice)
1/2 t vanilla

Mix together well and drop by spoonful in hot oil, flip once. Should be golden brown on both sides. Can sprinkle with Ten X sugar if desired.
