We will also end our ride here.Tune up the old two wheeler and stop being a gashole! Biking isn't only for the spandex-saavy. It's for anyone looking to get mobile by abandoning the automobile. It's good for your body and good for the environment and definitely good for your pocketbook. Not sure if you're ready to roll in the streets alone? No fear, the Spartanburg Bike Gang is accepting new members!Join Artist-in-Residence Sarah Witt and the Spartanburg Bike Gang for a recreational, radical, and potentially rambunctious ride. This leisure bike ride will last approximately an hour, navigating the neighborhoods in the immediate downtown area. It's not a race, there's no destination, and there's no limit to who can come. Bring your child, bring your pet frog, bring your helmet!

Throughout history, artists have used their work as a medium in the search for truth. The political visions of artists have played a key role in this search and helped to define the truth of our society. The United States was founded in the name of freedom, equality, democracy, and our freedom of expression is central to these American ideals. In the year of this landmark American Presidential Campaign, Art and Politics 08’ explores the ways in which contemporary art seeks social change.A national call for entries was put out for this exhibit, particularly seeking works that address issues present in the 2008 American Presidential Campaign. The following artists are included in this show: Josey Hale, Nanette Wylde & Kent Manske, Felicia Greenlee, Orie Shafer, Margi Weir, Cherie Tymkiw, Bob Tomolillo, Heidi Blackwood, Valerie Mendoza, Sarah Paulsen The exhibit will be on display through November 14th.

About the Film A REAL-LIFE DISASTER MOVIE EVERYTHING'S COOL is a film about America finally "getting" global warming in the wake of the most dangerous chasm ever to emerge between scientific understanding and political action. While industry funded nay-sayers sing what just might be their swan song of pseudo- scientific deception, a group of global warming messengers are on a high stakes quest to find the iconic image, the magic language, the points of leverage that will finally create the political will to move the United States from its reliance on fossil fuels to the new clean energy economy - AND FAST.
