Art Market/Creative Tastes Event

Saturday 3-9pm Downtown Spartanburg FREE

HUB-BUB is pleased to present the third Art Mart. Local and regional painters, potters, photographers, jewelry makers and textile artists will be setting up tables and selling their wares downtown this Saturday from 3-9pm during the Spartanburg Creative Tastes Festival.

Over twenty artists will be selling their work including The HUB-BUB Artists-in-Residence, USC Upstate Art and Design Club, Pat Kabore , Leslie Hart/The Green Wardrobe, Brandi Dice, and Kris Inman just to name a few. Proceeds from the sale of all art will remain with the artists. At the same time HUB-BUB will be hosting the Recycled Art Auction, a silent auction of donated works of art to raise money for HUB-BUB programming. Vendors will be accepting cash and checks only.

Local restaurants, chefs, local cookbooks, not-for- profit bake sales, kitchen store retailers and kitchen equipment suppliers are being recruited to participate in Spartanburg Creative Tastes. This is a first-time event in celebration of the City’s Creative Energy campaign. In keeping with the campaign theme of highlighting all that is innovative and creative in the City, this event is designed to showcase the variety of local culinary experiences against the backdrop of family fun and entertainment. Admission to the event will be free to the public with food and beverages available for purchase from vendors.

Planned for Saturday, September 6 th, from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. , there will be a Restaurant Row featuring local restaurants and chefs and a “Made in Spartanburg ” area highlighting local cookbooks, vendors, local produce and locally made food. Also featured will be a local brewery and wine tasting, the Hub-Bub Art Mart, kids’ activities in the “Lemonade Stand” area and local entertainment. The event will take place in Downtown Spartanburg in a festival setting west of Morgan Square and the Clock Tower on the newly updated Ezell St., King Street and West Main Street.
