The Flip Modes - “Holiday Rocks” Spectacular
Friday, December 19th 8:30pm
Tickets: $8 at the door

The Flip Modes are a regional nine piece band, complete with a smokin’ horn section, that bridges the gap between power pop and be-bop. The group draws influence by everyone from The Beatles and The Ramones to Miles Davis and John Coltrane.

The holiday season brings The Flip Modes’ “Holiday Rocks” Spectacular, a boogie woogie R&B groovefest featuring holiday music from all periods and genres, to the Showroom for our last event of the year. From a surf tinged Sleigh Ride to a Silent Night that is anything but, The Flip Modes will have you out of your seat and getting your holiday groove on.

The Flip Modes includes Josh Tennant (vocals/guitar), Carsyn Tennant (guitar/vocals), Wilson Warren (keyboards/flute/vocals), Chris Ebert (bass/vocals), Kevin Heuer (drums/percussion), and a smokin’ horn section made up of Vern Weygandt (arranger/trombone), Steve Cron (tenor saxophone), Arnie Diaz (trumpet), and Pat Meyers (baritone saxophone).

Current and previous projects of the groups members include: Depo Provera, Cold Coffee, The Dinsdales, Brandy Lindsey and The Punch, The Ragged Orchids, Vigilantes of Love, Matthew Knights Williams/Fluffy, Evan’s Dilemma, Spartanburg Jazz Ensemble, Spartanburg Community Band, The Windjammers, Dale Burke and St. Louis Jazz, VW5 jazz quintet, the Low Blow, The Rotations, Urban Funktion, and On the Corner.
